our future

Being great is not good enough for us, not even close.  We will continue to improve every aspect of our event. This is so much more than a 'bike race' and we intend to make each year a better experience for every racer, spectator, vendor, and partner.  Our vision is to showcase the Larimer County lifestyle to everyone who attends our event. Have an awesome idea?  Let us know.

In late 2011, the First City Cycling Team management decided it was time to lead by example and contribute to the local racing scene by hosting a bicycle race.  What could possibly go wrong?  How about a snowstorm dumping 2 FEET of Colorado powder just days before the event!  Not to worry, the local cycling community rallied to plow and shovel the entire 12 acre race course to offer one of the muddiest races anyone from Colorado has ever seen.

Our Story

If at any time you aren't completely satisfied with our event, simply contact us and we'll make it right. Your satisfaction is our primary concern.

Mission, Vision, Values

For us there is only one way to put on a cyclocross race.....simply be the very best and set the bar high for all others to follow.  We learn from our mistakes, listen to what our racers want, and improve every year.  If you are ever disappointed by something or if we missed something, please let us know.  We have our sights set on building this race into the best event in the Rockies.

Our mission

We love cyclocross, and growing this event from 'that little race in Loveland' in 2011 to the extravaganza it is today has been nothing short of exhilarating. We share our racers' passion for mud and cowbells, especially when you mix them with beer and racing! If you're serious about having a great time, you don't want to miss this event. Come and check out our expo, the 'Kid Zone', and our fantastic food & drink vendors. We're ready to make you wish every weekend was a Cross of the North race.
